The Runway
Scoliosis brace design and technology have come a long way since their bulky, rigid predecessors were the industry norm. Modern day scoliosis braces are thin, flexible, and low-profile enough to fit under most clothing.
Recent breakthroughs in scoliosis bracing, most notably going from treating scoliosis one dimensionally to treating it in three dimensions, have made bracing the preferred conservative treatment option for most providers. As a result of this new way of thinking about and treating scoliosis, scoliosis bracing has become more effective, comfortable, and fashion-friendly than ever before!
Dressing for scoliosis doesn’t have to be difficult. Our best advice is to dress in whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident! Here are a few of our patients and their suggestions.

Fashion Tips
You can wear a brace and still dress to impress. Here are some tips and links to help you do just that.

-
Always wear a tight-fitting undershirt under your brace. It will give you an extra layer of protection between the brace and your skin.
-
Infinity scarves are a great accessory that look stylish and can help conceal your brace
-
Statement necklaces and other accessories can help distract the eye
-
Long, button down shirts and oversized cardigans will all do a great job of concealing your brace
