Pediatric and Adult Lower Extremity

Our orthotists are well trained in pediatric lower extremity orthotics.  We work hand in hand with the local teaching hospitals and physician groups to formulate the best course of action when providing orthoses.  There are three reasons to use an orthosis:  To correct a flexible condition, accommodate a rigid condition, and/or to reduce pain.  The overall function is to improve the biomechanical function of the individual. Orthoses that are commonly prescribed are:
  • AFOs
  • KAFOs
  • Knee orthoses
  • SMOs
  • UCBLs/CMFOs
